Dino Melaye’s sister-in-law dies in Lagos

A former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Senator Dino Melaye has announced the death of his sister-in-law, Comfort Melaye on Thursday.

The deceased was the wife of his brother Timothy Melaye.

According to the former federal lawmaker, Mrs Melaye died on Wednesday in Lagos following a brief illness.

The family requested prayer from the general public as they mourned.

“With total submission to God almighty. I on behalf of the Melaye dynasty announce the transition into the glory of our beloved daughter and sister-in-law (Damilola Melaye) wife of Timothy Melaye, whose sad death occurred on Wednesday 4th December, 2024 in Lagos after a brief illness. We request your prayers in this very difficult and trying times for the family. God bless you all,” he posted on social media.

This comes five years after the ex-legislator lost his mother, Comfort Melaye in 2019.
