Diaspora group endorses Ayedatiwa

Indigenes of Ondo State in the diaspora, under the aegis of Ondo State Indigenes in Diaspora (OSID), have endorsed the re-election of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the election set for this Saturday, November 16, in the state.

OSID, comprising professionals and community members from Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, and the United States of America, said in a statement jointly signed by all the leaders, a copy of which was made available to newsmen, that the endorsement of Aiyedatiwa was based on his record of success and achievements since he was sworn in as governor last December.

The leaders include Professor Salewa Olafioye, Prince Apesinola Joshua, Hon. Tunde Doherty, Barr. Tomi Adeyinka, Mr. Oluwaseun Adeya, Erelu Helen Famuwagun, Ms. Foluke Adeyemi, and Dr. Joseph Oladimeji Ojo.

According to the group of indigenes, Governor Aiyedatiwa has taken bold steps to ensure that Ondo State is on the right track, pointing out that he has been working tirelessly to improve the lives of the people in the state, particularly through a significant increase in civil servants’ salaries.

“The governor is the most qualified leader to continue Ondo State’s forward-moving momentum.

“He has also succeeded in winning the hearts of the people.

“He is paying N73,000 as the minimum wage, the highest in the South West region. This reflects his vision and dedication to the welfare of the people of the state.

“In the last 10 months, our amiable governor has improved the state’s infrastructure, healthcare, and economic development policies centered on people’s welfare.

“We also believe his visionary leadership makes him the ideal candidate to continue the good work that guarantees a brighter future for the state,” OSID said.

“As the election approaches, we urge all citizens of Ondo State to vote and participate peacefully in this critical democratic process.

“We encourage every eligible voter to consider Governor Aiyedatiwa’s record and OSID’s endorsement when choosing their next leader.

“His commitment to progress, stability, and inclusive growth sets a strong foundation for Ondo State’s future.

“We remain deeply committed to supporting leaders who prioritize good governance, sustainable growth, and social equity.

“We are confident that Governor Aiyedatiwa embodies these values and is the best candidate to guide Ondo State forward.

“This endorsement reflects our dedication to a prosperous Ondo State that serves the needs of its citizens both at home and abroad,” they added.
