Diamond Bank reiterates support for SMEs

Diamond Bank has reiterated its support for the growth and empowerment of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through her Business Seminar targeted at the Elite SME customers by creating a platform for them to network, exchange knowledge, ideas and take advantage of the bank’s support to grow their businesses.

Speaking on the rationale of the workshop, The Group Managing Director/ CEO of the bank, Uzoma Dozie said that the bank looks at her customers beyond being just customers but also as partners, hence the bank’s passion to offer more than financial services to her customers but also to work with them in growing their businesses.

He further said that the partnership is a win-win situation for both the bank and her customers as the bank provides the platform for the customers who grow their business and in turn retained their banking relationship with the bank.

Head of Emerging Businesses, Diamond bank, Ayodele Olojede who acted as the convener for the event explained that the purpose of the Business club was to ensure that its customers had access to the right network and tools needed to grow their businesses so that they could do well even in the harsh economic realities of their environment which in turn would also help in the national development of the country.

She further stated the SME club was in line with the banks’ mandate and passion to support the SMEs in every aspect.

Also present at the event was the Group Managing Director of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe. He clarified the concerns and curiosity of some of the elite customers and stated that the merger between the two banks would not affect the business relationship they had with the bank but rather it would create a bigger platform for the SME’s as both partners share same passion and value for the SME sector.
