Destination Tourism Night prepares big for September 15 outing

The 2018 edition of Destination Tourism Night (DTN) has been scheduled to host destination promoters, tourism content developers and other allied tourism stakeholders to a two-session memorable tourism day out on September 15, at the Eko Hotel and Suites.

According to the organiser, Mr Ayo Omotosho, “DTN is a mice platform where all destinations promoters and buyers will exhibit their unique tourism offerings to diverse participants and stakeholders in a friendly atmosphere that will educate on tourism landmarks.

“The objective of tourism promotions is not solely for socio-economic development but to also empower and support and sustain economy and communities growth.

“Nigeria has great tourism potentials waiting to be explore and if they are well developed and marketed, it will go a long way in transforming and changing lives.

“Tourism is seen globally as an alternative to oil because of its limitless value and low hanging opportunities in terms of economy booster, job creation, and income generation. It is also believed that tourism contributes speedily to global economy GDP.

The 2018 Destination Tourism Night is an evening of ‘touritainment’ with cultural banquet in an ambience that will showcase the rich cultural heritage and destination potentials across the tourism regions with great opportunity to harness the economic benefits of the ecotourism assets across the country. ‘’This year’s theme is Unveiling Tourism Delights in Diversity’’ thereby making it a destination hub, connecting the stakeholders, diplomats, fashion community, entertainment industry, corporate organisations, government agencies, hospitality stakeholders, airlines and members of the general public in an atmosphere steeped with tourism entertainment at Eko Hotels and Suites on Saturday 15, 2018.” Omotoso said.

The Destination Tourism Night is a creative mice event geared by last year’s successful outing which was attended and applauded by notable dignitaries. This 2018 edition will feature destination packages presentation, tourism B2B exhibition, music, tourism comedy and cultural display, clothing exhibition and raffle draw among other attractions.

The event targets numerous tourist destinations in Nigeria and other Africa countries attract

He added that there will be Travelogue Recognition Awards where destinations, hospitality brands, tourism-driven personalities will be honoured for their valid contribution to the development of tourism in Nigeria.
