Despite security challenges, investors are coming to invest in Zamfara ― Matawalle

Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State has said despite the security challenges facing the state, local and international investors are coming to invest in the state.

He urged prospective investors to take advantage of untapped resources that are abundant in the state.

According to the governor, ” we have the largest deposit of gold and manganese in the whole country. The availability of these mineral resources in commercial quantities has interestingly started to draw the attention of both local and international investors.

Speaking at the just concluded Kaduna International Trade fair, Matawalle said in its efforts to boost business activities his administration is building a multi-billion naira three-star hotel in the state capital.

He also said a 15 billion naira cargo airport is currently under construction to boost business activities in the state.

Represented by the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abubakar Sarkin Pawa Danbo, he assured the investors that are already on the ground of his government’s efforts to end the security challenges facing the state.

Earlier, in his welcome address, the state commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Yazeed Shehu Danfulani disclosed that the state will continue to assist small entrepreneurs to grow and become self-reliant.

Represented by the permanent secretary in the Ministry, Abdulkadir Alin Kilo, said 15 Ministries and 14 local government councils participated at the concluded fair.
