Ofa, who’s the second member of the Board of the Delta State Post Primary Education Board (PPEB), made the call while reacting to the interest of the APC in the choice of leaders of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
He noted that the National Assembly comprised highly respected members who could choose for themselves credible leaders without any external influence.
The former commissioner in the board of DESOPADEC, said the imposition of leaders on the National Assembly was not only undemocratic but could create crisis of confidence and distrusts among members.

Dr Ofa recalled what played out in the 8th Assembly, leading to the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki and Hon. Dogara, against the wish of the government and how it ensured the stability of the Senate and House of Representatives even with the series of impeachment threats.
On the next session of the Delta State House of Assembly, he said he was not expecting anything else than the best of legislative business, considering the calibre of the members-elect.
He expressed optimism that the Assembly would bring its role to bear in the actualization of the people-oriented policies and programmes of the Senator Ifeanyi Okowa administration.
