Delta LG Polls: Group drums support for PDP candidates

Published by

As the clock ticks down to the local government election in Delta State scheduled for next Saturday, a socio-political pressure group, Onos Loyalists, has urged eligible voters to support all Chairmanship and Councilorship candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The group also appealed to party faithful and stakeholders to ensure a decisive victory for all PDP candidates on July 13.

Chief Kingsley Okpako, Convener of the group and Executive Assistant to the state governor on Political Matters, issued the call in a statement from Asaba on Saturday. Okpako emphasized that this call was necessary in light of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s impressive performance during his first year in office.

Okpako, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Delta State Forum of past PDP Chairmen and is a former PDP Chairman in Ethiope East Local Government Area, stated that voting for the PDP’s Chairmanship and Councilorship candidates is a vote for the consolidation of the MORE Agenda. This agenda aims to further the state’s development.
