Delta killings: Slain soldiers will have national honours – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu announced on Wednesday that the fallen soldiers in Okuama, a village within Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, will receive national honors.

During the breaking of the Ramadan fast on Wednesday in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu revealed this information while in the company of Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and other House leadership members. He emphasized the importance of oversight in ensuring transparency and accountability in governance. However, he cautioned against excessive summoning of officials, noting that it could disrupt operations and impede service delivery to citizens.

Speaking to the assembled audience, the Commander-in-Chief expressed condolences to the military and the families of the deceased, ensuring that the fallen victims would receive a dignified burial.
