Delta APC expresses hope of victory in Saturday LG poll

The All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign train toured most of the communities in Warri-South Local Government Area with an electoral message of hope and victory for their candidates in chairmanship and counsellor positions.

The APC campaign team during the visit to Agbarha, Warri (Otovwodo), Bowen Avenue, Okurode Urhobo, Ogunu, Ugbuwague, Ekurede-Itsekiri among others solicited votes for APC candidates in the forthcoming local government elections in Delta State.

A chieftain of the party in the State, Chief Ayiri Emami assured that APC will win some of the local government areas in the State provided Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) conducts free and fair elections across the State.

Chief Emami urged the electorate to identify with APC through their votes, adding that President Bola Tinubu has put necessary measures in place to improve on the economy and development in Nigeria, but most of the state governors have failed the people.

According to him “The governors have not done enough to alleviate the problems of the people. Our APC candidates for the local government election are capable people with proven integrity who will perform better if voted to power. Don’t give up, things will get better. Bad things must go. What we need is free elections for the true winners to emerge. No rigging and no writing of election results this time. Our party (APC) remains formidable in the State”.

“I stand firm for APC. I will not yield to blackmail and intimidation and no amount of financial inducement that will make me switch over to the PDP” he added.

The APC Warri South chairmanship candidate, Prince Francis Yonwuren with his ‘New Transformation Agenda’ said that if voted to power there will be community development, human empowerment, transparency, security and infrastructural development to all areas of the local government.

He assured that if given the mandate to be the chairman of Warri South he would operate effective administration and reach out to all the people with the dividends of democracy.

The vice chairmanship candidate of the party, Pastor Kingsley Omonigho Oshogbo urged the people not to be discouraged for their votes will count, adding that the era of writing and falsifying figures for election results is over.

He called on the Delta State governor, His Excellency, Sheriff Oborevwori and DSIEC to ensure a free and fair election across the State.

Most of the community leaders urged APC candidates to remember the people when they assured office through employment, empowerment, scholarships, and promotion of peace and unity among the people.
