The Minister of Solid Minerals, Dele Alake, has punctured the soul of the rumours that he has his eyes on the governorship seat of Ekiti State.
The minister’s concern was voiced through an aide, who described the tale as a blatant lie, citing reasons why the politician cannot nurse such ambition.
He described Alake’s efforts and dedication to the administration of President Bola Tinubu with claims that the minister is too busy trying to get the best for the country through his office at the solid minerals rather than seeking an undesired ambition.
Alake has demonstrated the utmost admiration for the government of Governor Biodun Oyebanji and has no ambition either now or in the future, says the aide.
The statement has put to rest the concerns among politicians in Ekiti State who woke up recently to see the campaign posters of the minister flooding the nooks and crannies of the State capital.
