Foremost music producer, Ayodele Basil, popularly known as Del B, on Friday, lamented what he described as ‘unfair treatment’ he suffered allegedly in the hands of men of Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) in Lagos on Thursday.
Del B revealed how he was pulled over by operatives of SARS onThursday night in company with another music producer and singer, Mo Eazi, as they were accused of being a cultist and an internet fraudsters.
According to the music producer who was the brains behind hit songs like Runtown’s Mad Over You, Wizkid’s Wonder, Kcee’s Limpopo, among other songs, stated that the officers allegedly threatened to frame him if he failed to part with N100,000, adding that “they pulled out guns and refused to confirm their names as they demanded N100,000 from me repeatedly.”
“From searching our phones to the car, I was calm. They saw a message from my sister telling me I can send her money to her through Bank of America, and instantly the SARS operatives concluded that I was a Yahoo Boy. After a while, I introduced myself to them and they said I should go,” he said.
