Deji Tinubu

A member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Olusegun Olulade representing Epe Constituency II has described the death of Mr Deji Tinubu, Special Adviser on Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, as a great loss to the administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and the entire state at large.

Olulade, who was reacting to the news of the death of Tinubu, said he was yet to come to reality with the news, adding that he never imagined that the Special Adviser to Governor could die in the next 20 years.

The lawmaker, while noting that the deceased was one of the engine rooms in Governor Ambode’s cabinet, said “Since the inception of this administration, the late Deji Tinubu has been one of the most active members of Governor Ambode’s cabinet.”

“While serving as the Special Adviser on Sports, he was a very active and recently, the governor redeployed him to Commerce, Industry and Cooperative. While alive, he was a dutiful and committed public servant. He will always make himself readily available to attend any programme.

“I remember in 2016, when I held the Eleniyan Youth Empowerment Summit in Igboye, Epe, he was there live and contributed immensely from the beginning of the programme till the end.

“His death is really a great loss to this state and I want to commiserate with the state government; our party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the deceased mother and wife, the Tinubu’s family members and the entire citizens of the state.

“I pray that we shall never witness sudden death anymore in the state. I pray that God will grant the family the fortitude to bear this loss,” Olulade added.
