Reports said his corpse was found with the clothes he was last seen with on Monday with his two legs and hands tied by his suspected killers.
It was gathered that the deceased’s killers killed and left him with his two legs and hands tied together at a Bush around Owa Ekei road.
Following the recovery of Egonte’s corpse, members of his family and community have been thrown into mourning as they were still of the opinion that he would be found alive.
While a top police officer from the state disclosed that investigations were on to unravel the mystery behind the killing, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Onome Onovwakpoyeya, promised to get back to confirm the development, but hasn’t done so as of the time of filing the report.
