CHAIRMAN, harmonisation committee for the Oyo state branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Comrade Kayode Agbeyangi, has said that no date has been fixed for election into the executive council of the union.
He noted that election may only come after the state government might have lifted the ban placed on the activities of the union, though the aggrieved members have agreed to work together for the betterment of the union.
Agbeyangi, while reacting to news being circulated particularly on social media that a date for election had been fixed, warned those behind it to desist from such act capable of misleading the general public and further create unnecessary tension among NURTW members.

He stressed that before the committee could ponder on organising an election, it must have submitted its report to the leadership of the national body of the union, which will now meet with the state government for a proper briefing to determine the line of action.
