Dapchi saga: Overhaul all security agencies, group urges Buhari

THE Foundation for Human Rights and Anti-corruption Crusaders (FOHURAC) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to overhaul security agencies in the country, describing the Dapchi girls saga as a thrilling hoax and mystery.

National President of the Niger Delta-based rights group, Alaowei Cleric, Esq., in a reaction enthused that it was obvious to the entire world that the Dapchi girls saga was stage-managed.

“The DAPCHI girls’ kidnap saga is a mystery to every right thinking person all over the world. The whole thing looks like a stage-managed drama to create some cheap fantasies.

“To us, the melodrama is not just a hoax but also another political verisimilitude orchestrated by power players to launder a barter image.

“Our scepticism is being informed with the fact that the abductors came to carry out their illicit act without let or hindrance. Again, when they came to drop the girls, it was through fanfare laden with royal ovations.

“Where on earth has this kind of political madness become a reality? The security lapses leading to the regrettable kidnap of the innocent school girls is an indictment of the Government’s culpability.

“Our concern is the future of our children; how they will be affected by the acts of these political desperados. The future is bleak because we are creating an army miscreant in the society,” he averred.

Cleric advised President Buhari to take the lead as the Commander-in-chief because “so many things are going awry under his watch. These ugly developments only epitomise that our President has lost touch with governance.”

According to him, “to avoid these apparent democratic miasmas, Mr President must do away with the culture of indiscipline and condonation in his government.”

The activist urged him to overhaul the security architectures in the country as the only antidote to curb such ugly acts in the country in the future.

“The government should also provide an effective policing of the schools in the North East in order to prevent future occurrence.

“One thing we expect Buhari to do is to recuse himself from the song of security victory.

“He should rather set up a team of international investigators to unearth the truth.

“Nigerians and, indeed, the world will like to know the truth behind this nebulous drama,” Cleric noted.
