Dangote did not spend N1bn on Apapa Road —Abdullahi

CONTRARY to reports, the Dangote Group has said it did not spend N1 billion on rehabilitating the road leading to the Apapa Port in Lagos.

The company was reacting to a News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) story, which claimed the Head of ports Operations, Dangote Group. Mr Yakubu Abdullahi  made the disclosure during an exclusive interview with the agency.

In a statement made available to Sunday Tribune, Mr Abdullahi expressed utter surprise about the report which he said had the potentials of defaming him at his place of work and the country at large.

He noted that the report caused him emotional trauma and huge embarrassment at work, stressing that he was at a loss with the publication.
