How Daddy Showkey brokered truce between Kcee, Harrysong

The crisis rocking Five Star Music and Alter Plate Music appears to have finally been laid to rest as the two main actors in the battle; Kcee and Harrysong have decided to sheath their sword for the sake of peace and what Harrysong described as his love and respect for the record label.

Trouble was said to have started between Kcee and Harrysong when the latter reportedly refused to renew his contract with the record label, owned by E Money and Kcee. He would later float his record label, which he called Alter Plate Music Company.

Kcee and E-Money were said to have been infuriated by Harrysong’s decision to leave the record label without fulfilling the obligations expected of him and they vowed to deal with him. Days later, Harysong was arrested and released with the police claiming that the matter should be resolved amicably between Kcee and Harrysong but that was not the last one would hear about the matter.

Barely one week after he was arrested and released, the Raggeablues crooner who had just returned from a trip the United States was rearrested again alongside his manager, Desmond Ike who had claimed in a statement released prior to their arrest that Harrysong was done with Five Star Music and that the label co-owner, Kcee, who had threatened to deal with Harrysong was fighting a lost battle.

It was however on record that Harrysong and Ike spent the night at Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos State before they were said to have been released the next day following Daddy Showkey’s intervention, who ensured that matter did not turn to a full blown war.

Showkey was said to have drove Harrysong to Kcee’s house on Thursday morning to resolve the matter. He was also asked to tender a public apology to Five Star Music. It was said to have been agreed that for Harrysong to be forgiven, he must return to his former record label to see out his contract and seize to operate under Alter Plate Music, a company he floated less than six weeks ago.

As of Friday morning, R observed that Harrysong had apologised to Kcee and E-Money and consequently removed Alter Plate logo from all his social media accounts.

Speaking with R on how he reconciled Kcee and Harrysong, Showkey said he would not want to comment on the issue, adding that there was nothing special about his intervention.

According to him, “There is nothing special about what I have done. I respect you, that’s why I am talking to you about this. I am in the position to use my influence to put an end to what could spoil a good relationship and partnership that have worked out well over the years. They are all happy now that they back together.”

Asked if it was true that is now officially a Five Star Music artiste, Showkey declined comment, saying “I won’t say anything about that”.
