Cyberpedia’s Sowemimo Abiodun recognised as one of most influential people of African descent

Sowemimo Abiodun, President of Africa’s leading data and cybersecurity corporation, Cyberpedia, has received a prestigious honor from the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD).

He has been named one of the Global 100 Futurists & Innovators, acknowledging his exceptional work in the tech industry. This accolade was awarded at an event held during the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, in alignment with the United Nations International Decade for People of African Descent (2015–2024).

Sowemimo shared his thoughts on this honor, stating, “Being recognized by Most Influential People of African Descent is a remarkable achievement that fuels my passion for technology and innovation in Africa.” He stressed the importance of acknowledging collective efforts in the tech sector, as many individuals contribute to advancements in the industry.
