Nigerian Tribune learnt that the inauguration slated for Friday has been scheduled to hold at the party secretariat in Sogunle, Ikeja.
But a statement made available to the Nigerian Tribune by PDP spokesperson, Mr Taofik Gani, warned party faithful and others to stay clear of the venue of the event, warning that the law enforcement Agencies had since been put on notice to make arrests of those who were “behind the planned divisive ‘inauguration’ and who are now declared as Agent provocateurs within the Lagos State PDP.”
The party said it opposed the planned inauguration by those it called moles and agent provocateurs because allowing such exercise to hold at this point in time would “preempt the progressive consultations presently going on amongst the progressive leaders of the party.”
“Let it be noted that the CWC of the Lagos State PDP has not finalised the processes which should bring about a generally accepted ceremonial inauguration of the Wards and LGAs officers.
“Consequently, the Party is unequivocally dissociated from any planned ‘inauguration’ until so deemed appropriate and directed.
“Similarly, the law enforcement Agencies are put on notice to make arrests of those who are behind the planned divisive ‘inauguration’ and who are now declared as Agent provocateurs within the Lagos State PDP,” the statement said.
It would be recalled that some aggrieved members had tried to allow the PDP National Convention to conclude first before coming back home to address some fallouts of the primaries that held in the state where Hon. Moshood Salvador and his team emerged to lead the state chapter for another term in office.
