Three key members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State have announced their resignation from partisan politics, a move that political observers believe could shake the ruling party in the state.
The trio—former Imo State House of Assembly member Hon. Blyden Amajirionwu, former APC State Publicity Secretary Cajetan Duke, and the party’s Legal Adviser Wilson Nwosu—have now joined The Mazi Organisation (TMO), a non-governmental organization focused on humanitarian services and community development.
Founded by Chioma Amadi, TMO aims to improve access to education, healthcare, and economic empowerment programs for those in need.
Amajirionwu, whose resignation takes effect immediately, stated that he would now focus on expanding his private business and humanitarian efforts. His partnership with TMO is expected to drive impactful social initiatives in the community.

Meanwhile, Duke has assumed the role of TMO’s spokesperson, leveraging his experience as a skilled communicator to boost the organization’s presence in Imo State.
Similarly, Nwosu, with his background in law, sociology, and public administration, is expected to contribute significantly to TMO’s advocacy and legal support initiatives.
Their exit from APC and shift to humanitarian work signal a major realignment in Imo’s political landscape, with potential implications for the ruling party in the state.
