Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO confirmed but said that the people were cult members who gathered in the area but were being dispersed by security men.
Wadata was part of the areas where youths caused mayhem on Saturday.
The Nigerian Tribune gathered that the youths had gathered in a particular place with the intention of causing havoc which necessitated policemen and soldiers to engage them.
Reason for the gathering was sketch at the time of filing this report but a resident said it might be a reprisal of the Saturday mayhem.
The youths were said to have started forming crowd around 8:00 pm which made resident of the area to alert security men.
A resident of the area who spoke to our correspondent said the sporadic shooting was still going on as at 9.00 pm.

When contacted, the Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO, ASP Moses Yamu who confirmed the report said that the command received report that some cult members were gathering around Wadataa and security men were promptly drafted to the area.
“We learnt that some cult members were gathering at Wadatta and we have drafted security men to the area.”
When asked that gunshots were still on at the time of filing this report, Yamu said there was no cause for alarm and added that police was yet to ascertain the cause. He said that investigation was ongoing.
