CP Danmamman decorates 123 new ASPs in Niger

Following the promotion of 7,194 inspectors to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II), CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman of Niger State Command decorated 123 newly promoted ASP IIs at the State Police Headquarters in Minna on Friday, August 16, 2024.

During the ceremony, CP Danmamman emphasized that “to whom much is given, much is expected,” expressing gratitude to the IGP for the recommendation and the Police Service Commission (PSC) for the promotion. He highlighted that the occasion was a result of the PSC’s approval and reflected on the joy and progress associated with promotion.

The CP noted that while promotions are a mark of progress, they come with increased responsibilities and higher expectations. He urged the new ASPs to upgrade their knowledge, personality, and orientation to effectively supervise their subordinates and be role models. “Your speech and relationship must change,” he advised, “and be interested in current affairs; you need to speak from the position of knowledge.”

Among those decorated were ASP Allwell Johnson, ASP Musa Dogoh, ASP Williams Bakau, ASP Haggai Zakka, ASP Hannah Baba, ASP Abubakar Jibrin, ASP Yakubu Mohammed, ASP Adamu Isah, ASP Ibrahim Kolo, ASP Michael Egapi, ASP Saidu Magaji, ASP Mohammed Usman, ASP Victor Isyaku, ASP Jonah Agbali, and ASP Safiya Usman.

CP Danmamman was assisted by DCP Hassan Umar Kabir, DC SCID; DCP Aminu Maiwada Garba, DC Admin; DCP Falade Michael, DC Operations; ACP Mu’azu Muhammad, AC Operations; ACP Galadima Lassa, AC Bosso; and ACP Joseph Mamman, AC SID.
