“The provision of these personal protective gears would definitely go a long way in empowering us and protecting us as front-line health workers in Kwara state as we confront this scourge head-on.

“Your core values of partnership, stretch and ambition further inspire us, and we look forward to forging lasting partnership even beyond this COVID-19 period,” he said.

Some of the protective equipment donated include medical face shields and medical face masks.

Also speaking, the Human Resources Manager of the company, Mrs Uduak Eweka, said the rate at which health workers were being exposed and infected with COVID 19 was alarming.

“We thus decided to reach out on what can be done to help protect our health workers”, she said, adding that the company was initially involved in the distribution of palliatives to different communities in the state and extended such gesture to the front line health workers.

She observed that all hands must be on deck in the fight against COVID 19, adding that nothing is too small and that everybody has a role to play in Nigeria in the fight against the disease.
