A Sharia Court sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna, Kaduna State has terminated a two-year-old marriage and ordered the petitioner, Bilkisu Lawal to refund her bride price to ex-husband, Ahmed Musa.
The judge, Murtala Nasir, while delivering his judgment, observed that there was love lost between the parties and ordered Bilikisu to refund the N20,000 paid as bride price to Musa.

According to the New Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on July 15, Bilkisu, a businesswoman dragged her husband to court over lack of care.
The businesswoman told the court that she was aware of the amount paid as bride price and she was willing to refund it provided the union was terminated.
“He paid N20, 000 as my bride price. I am willing to pay him back his money. I also pray the court to terminate the union, “she said.
