The sentences would run consecutively, the court ordered.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that the case was reported on June 25 at the Laranto Police Station by one Aliyu Adams of Zaria Road, Jos.

The prosecutor said that the accused and his friend now at large, conspired and intercepted the complainant on the road to rob him.

Gokwat said they collected his Techno phone valued N8,000 and also collected a cash sum of N20,000 from him forcibly.

He said that during police investigation, the SIM card was found with the accused, who equally pleaded guilty on arraignment.

The prosecutor said the offence was contrary to Section 271 and punishable under Section 272 of the Plateau State Penal Code.
