Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP Benson Emuerhi, said that the defendant committed the offences on April 22, at 6.00p.m. at No. 66, Asiwaju Crescent Elepe Road, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

“The defendant sexually assaulted the woman by forcefully having sexual intercourse with her,” he said.
He said that the victim reported the case at the Elepe Police Division, adding that the case was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Ikeja Police Command.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 261 and 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.
