Okon of Idu village, Abuja is being tried on a two-count charge of criminal intimidation and insult, to which he pleaded guilty.
The judge, Mr Maiwa Inuwa, ordered that Okon is remanded in prison until July 30 for sentencing.
The prosecutor, Mrs Ukagha Ijeoma, told the court that one Ekeoha Raymond of Idu village, Abuja, reported the matter at Karmo Police Station on July 20.
Ijeoma said that between Feb. 2 and July 20, Okon allegedly insulted Raymond and members of his family without reasons.

She said that the defendant also threatened to kill the man with a gun without any cause for the threat.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 399 and 397 of Penal Code, and Violence Against Persons Act of 2015, also frowned against such behaviour.
“This court is not for comedy but a court for justice. These are grievous offences, particularly for intimidating a 63-year-old man.
