A Kaduna High Court, on Thursday, remanded two men, Isiaka Adamu, 30, and Abubakar Isah, 29 in a correctional centre for alleged kidnap.
The defendants, who reside in Kaduna, are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and kidnapping.
The defendants, however, denied the charge when it was read to them in court.
The judge, Hanatu Balogun, ordered that the defendants be remanded in the correctional centre till February 28, when the case would come up for hearing.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Amina Aliyu, had told the court that the defendants and two others at large, conspired to commit the offences on October 10, 2019, at about 8 p.m. at Kachia in Kaduna.
Aliyu said that the defendants, armed with a locally made single barrel pistol, kidnapped one Abdulaziz Usman while he was coming back from work.
“They allegedly pushed their victim into their Volkswagen Golf car and took him to their hideout before they were arrested.
“The offences contravened the provisions of Sections 59 and 247 of the Kaduna State Penal Code,” the prosecutor said.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the defendants were first arraigned in a Kaduna Chief Magistrates’ Court on Oct. 20, 2019.
