A Kaduna Chief Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday ordered that two friends, Godwin Moses and Emmanuel Amos, be remanded in prison custody over alleged armed robbery, pending legal advice.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Hajara Dauda, who did not take the plea of Moses and Amos, ordered the police to duplicate the case file to the Kaduna State Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.
Dauda adjourned the case until Aug 30 for hearing.

In a charge sheet, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp Sunday Baba alleged that the two friends committed the offence on July 20, on Kachia Road, Kaduna.
Baba alleged that Moses and Amos, armed with a cutlass and a locally made pistol, robbed one Istifanus Gabriel of his Pathfinder jeep and other valuables worth N4 million.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 1(2), a 6(b) and 28 of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, Cap. 398, Vol RII, Law of Federation, 2004.
