A Kabusa Grade I Area Court, Abuja on Tuesday ordered that two farmers who allegedly defrauded a businessman of N1. 3 million, be remanded in a correctional facility, pending bail.
The police charged Williams Sunday and Senior Marcus with joint act and cheating.
The Judge, Ibrahim Kagarko, adjourned the case until Nov. 21, for ruling in the bail application.
Earlier, the prosecution counsel, Mahmud Lawal, told the court that Mr Umar Halidu who resides at Karmajiji, Abuja, reported the case at the Garki Police station in FCT.

Lawal alleged that the defendants with one Alhaji Hassan, who is at large, entered into a business venture for the supply of chickens worth N1. 5 million.
He alleged that the complainant paid N1.3 million cash to Hassan on the directives of Halidu.
The prosecution alleged that when the complainant went to the poultry farm to pick up his remaining birds, he was denied access.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 79 and 322 of the Penal Code.
