A Kano State High Court presided over by Chief Judge Justice Dije Abdu Aboki has re-affirmed its earlier interim order issued on September 13, restraining Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero (15th Emir of Kano) from restructuring, refurbishing, or renovating Nassarawa Mini Place, pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice.
It may be recalled that the Kano State government and two other applicants approached the court seeking to restrain the defendant from making any renovations in the Nassarawa Mini Palace.
However, when the case resumed today, Thursday, for the hearing of the originating motion, counsel for the applicants told the court that the defendant had neither filed any processes nor been represented.
Based on this, Justice Aboki reassigned the case to Kano State High Court 15, presided over by Justice Sanusi Ado Maaji, now that judges have returned from their annual vacation.
Accordingly, she ordered that hearing notice to be served on the defendant.
