A court in Rigasa, Kaduna State, has ordered Abdulrahman Muhammad, a commercial motorcycle rider, to pay a monthly feeding allowance of N25,000 for his five children.
The judge, Malam Muhammad Adamu, also granted custody of their children to their mother, Zaituna Abdulkadir, Muhammad’s estranged wife.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the petitioner, Zaituna, earlier in her application urged the court to grant her custody of their children, and compel her ex-husband to pay the sum of N75,000 monthly feeding allowance for their children .
“Our children have been with me for over a year and he doesn’t discharge his responsibility as a father towards them.
“I want him to take care of our children’s school fees, health and clothing,” she pleaded with the court.
However, the court compelled Muhammad to be paying monthly feeding allowance of N25,000.
