An Ile Tuntun Customary Court, Mapo Hall, Ibadan, Oyo State, during the week, has given judgement in the case of divorce brought before it by a couple, Adebayo Abiola Omowumi and Olalekan Mutiu, saying the divorce is granted on no repayment of dowry.
The court, having gone through the evidence brought by the two parties on oath, saw that there was no more love between them.
According the court, it had no other option than to dissolve the marriage.
The court therefore ruled that:“The custody of the two children is awarded to the plaintiff, while the defendant should pay N5,000 monthly for the upkeep of the two children commencing from January 2017.
“Also, the defendant should take care of the children’s education and anytime the defendant wants to see her children, he will come to the court and court will send for the plaintiff to produce the children.”
The court said the defendant has the right to appeal within 30 days of the judgement.
