AN Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court in Osun on Thursday arraigned one Oladiran Raphael, 25, over alleged theft of a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle.
The Prosecutor, Insp Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the court that the accused committed the offence on April 10 at 10:00 am at Ilare area of Ile-Ife.
Osanyintuyi said that the accused stole the motorcycle belonging to one Akinwale Morakinyo and valued at N250,000.
He said that the offence contravened sections 383, 390 (10A) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge of stealing.

The Defence Counsel, Mrs Innocental Akhigbe, pleaded for bail for the accused, promising to provide reliable sureties.
Magistrate Muhiba Olatunji granted bail to the accused in the sum of N250, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
Olatunji added that the sureties must swear to an affidavit of means, reside within the court’s jurisdiction, produce three years tax clearance certificate as well as provide three recent passport photographs.
The case was adjourned till June 3 for hearing.
