A High Court sitting in Kano presided over by Justice Ahmed Tijjani Badamosi, has adjourned for further hearing a suit instituted by the Kano Emirate Kingmakers against the state governor and seven others over the creation of four new Emirate councils.
The presiding Judge, Justice Badamosi on Thursday, then adjourned the case till July 16 for further hearing after listening to both counsels of the plaintiffs and defendants.
It will be recalled that four Kano Kingmakers, Yusuf Nabahani, Madakin Kano, Abdullahi Sarki Ibrahim, Makama Kano, Bello Abubakar, Sarki Dawakin Mai Tuta and Muktar Adnan, Sarki Bai Kano had sued the Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly, Governor of Kano State, Attorney General, Tafida Abubakar Ila, Ibrahim A. Gaya, Ibrahim Abubakar II and Aminu Ado Bayero over creation of new Emirates and appointment of Emirs.
