Couples should date for 10 years before getting married — Wiz Khalifa

Published by

American rapper and singer-songwriter Wiz Khalifa has advised couples to date for at least 10 years before considering marriage, emphasizing the importance of deeply understanding one another and building family connections.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Club Shay Shay podcast, the 37-year-old father of two explained his perspective, saying, “People should date for 10 years before getting married because that’s long enough to know the person, their family, and who you’re going to deal with when you move in together.”

When host Shannon Sharpe asked whether couples should live together before marriage, Wiz offered a nuanced view.

“It depends on the situation and the circumstances. Some people move in right away and still need time to figure it out,” he said.
