The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), the apex sociopolitical youth group in the South East geopolitical zone, has congratulated Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu Chukwu on his emergence as the new President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
In a statement issued on Monday in Owerri by the President General of COSEYL, Comrade Goodluck Ibem, he appreciated the Imeobi of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide who took the pains and due process to elect a man of high pedigree, integrity, and intellect like Nze Fidelis Chukwu to lead the apex socio-cultural body of Ndigbo.
According to him, Ozichukwu is truly the man the cap fits for the exalted position.
The body urged the new president-general to consolidate on the legacy achievements of the immediate past PG, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, who set an impressive roadmap and template for the development and growth of the Igbo Nation.
They called on him to do his best to put the interests of Ndigbo first in all his endeavours while ensuring that he works in synergy with all Igbos who mean well to our people.
COSEYL called on Igbos at home and in the diaspora to rally around the new President General by giving him all the necessary support needed to achieve success in this important assignment given to Nze Ozichukwu and his team.
The PG said that with Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu Chukwu at the saddle, they are confident that the interest of Ndigbo in the Nigerian polity will be protected and guarded jealously.
