The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), the apex socio-political youth group in the South East geopolitical zone, has commended the leadership strides of the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu (Aha-aga-mba Ndigbo), whose sterling leadership straits have given Ndigbo pride of place in Nigeria and the world.
In a statement issued in Owerri on Sunday and endorsed by the President General of COSEYL, Comrade Goodluck Ibem, it said that Ndigbo has seen the light through the personal sacrifices and unprecedented leadership strides of Chief Iwuanyanwu.
According to him, Chief Iwuanyanwu’s sterling straits and intellectual capacity in handling the holistic affairs of Ndigbo are matchless.
He observed that the present decentralisation of offices and delegation of authority and responsibility by Ohanaeze leadership into zones, both locally and internationally, for easy administration and duty, is a welcome development.
He said that Chief Iwuanyanwu has just shown that he came prepared for the tasking responsibility of Ndigbo.
He said, “The few months of Chief Iwuanyanwu’s unprecedented performance as the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide have been very inspiring, fulfilling, and result-oriented in all aspects.”
Comrade Ibem said that Chief Iwuanyanwu has filled the political and socio-cultural lacuna that was created in the past, which has placed Ndigbo in their rightful place in Nigeria.
He said, “We now speak with one voice as a people because a master who understands and knows his onions is in charge of the affairs of his people.
Truly, Ndigbo is very grateful that a man of his standing accepted to lead them to the promised land.”
He said that Chief Iwuanyanwu is efficiently and effectively standing in the gap for the collective interest of Ndigbo, and they are truly proud of his achievements so far.
The body calls on the governors, captains of industries, lawmakers, and all lovers of the success and progress of Ndigbo to give him all the required support as he takes Ndigbo to the promised land.
