Gbajabiamila
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, has tasked the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to reposition itself for optimal performance of its constitutionally assigned mandate.
Hon Gbajabiamila, while receiving the management of the Bureau, led by its Chairman, Professor Mohammed Isa, in his office on Wednesday, said the House was ready to support the agency where and when necessary.
According to him, being backed by the 1999 Constitutional, the Bureau stands a better chance of performing its roles in fighting corruption in the country.
The CCB chairman, Professor Isa, explained that the visit was to familiarise with the Office of the Speaker and seek his support in achieving their mandate.
He used the visit to thank the leadership of the House, under Gbajabiamila, for addressing some of the bureau’s budgetary challenges last year and sought more allocation going forward.
