Corruption charges: Adoke would be vindicated, says group

The National President of Ebira Peoples Vanguard, (EPV), Alhaji Abdulrahman Ado-Sadiq, has described as baseless and unfounded, the allegations against the embattled former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, (AGF), Muhammed Adoke, SAN, saying that he will come out clean and victorious.

Alhaji Ado-Sadiq who is a two-time senatorial candidate of Democratic People’s Party (DPP) in Kogi State for the 2007 and 2011 senatorial elections respectively, maintained that Adoke would be vindicated in the fullness of time.

In a statement signed and made available to journalists in Lokoja, on Tuesday, Ado-Sadiq noted that the accusations against the former AGF were all a product of exaggeration.

“I want to by this assessment assure Nigerians that he shall at the end of the court prosecution be exonerated in most if not all of the charges levied against him.

“Muhammed Adoke’s contribution to Nigeria’s economy and the justice system in Nigeria should be extolled rather than being accused of some fictitious accusations.

He urge Nigerians to learn to appreciate selfless services, saying that this will motivate others to contribute positively to the development of the country.

Adoke is being tried for offences bordering on alleged corruption by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC).

He was reportedly arrested last week in Dubai by the Interpol.
