Cookie and cream Parfait

IF there is any drink to indulge yourself in during this new year, it is the cookie and cream parfait. It is the perfect home-made drink to thrill your taste buds. The preparation technique for the delicious drink is easy and you will have your drink in a few minutes.

Ingredients

1/3 cup heavy cream

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/3 cup Baileys Irish Cream

8 ounces’ cream cheese, at room temperature

1¼ cup heavy cream

1/3 cup sugar

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup whipped cream

2 cups Oreo cookie crumbs

Directions

1. In a small pot, heat the cream to a simmer over medium heat. Place the chocolate chips in a medium heat-safe bowl.
2. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and stir to combine. Stir in the Baileys, then set aside.
3. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whip attachment,whip the cream cheese with heavy cream and sugar until they reach medium peaks. Add the vanilla extract and mix to combine.
4. Begin to layer the parfait: Spoon about ¼cup of the cream cheese mixture into the base of the glass. Top with 2 table spoons of cookie crumbs, then 2 table spoons of chocolate sauce. Repeat until there are two layers like this in each glass.
5. Top each parfait with 2 to 3 tablespoons of whipped cream. Garnish with any remaining cookie crumbs.
