He pointed out that the goal of the company is to go national in order to add value to people and the country at large.
Apart from flexible payment system put in place to enhance easy accessibility and home ownership among Nigerians, the Convvy boss disclosed that the company is also considering other options to assist interested members of the public, adding that the firm will be unveiling investment platform to bring in mortgage system as soon as possible.
“We are working with a bank to carry out that. Luxury can be afforded by both low and high income earners in the estate,” Oni said.
Convvy Hilltop Estate comprises of 98 plots of land, situated within Obasanjo Farms, off Itele/Otta road in Ado Odo/Ota Local Government Area in Ogun State.
With plots of land measuring 300 square metres (sqm) and 600sqm respectively, the CEO said the estate would be a game changer in the business of real estate in Nigeria, adding that the company out in place all social amenities to make life comfortable for every resident.
In addition, he said the estate came with all convenience, as the firm has helped subscribers to eliminate barriers of land grabbers, documentation and infrastructural facilities.
In the first phase, Oni said the company is trying to set a pace for others to emulate, adding that it has provided an opportunity to people to own a piece of luxury homes on the mainland.
“We have done our due diligence to know what the issues are. The package in Convvy Estate encompasses adequate security, true ownership, title document and basic amenities,” he said.
“We are getting a replica of something better; it is an estate more than what is obtainable in Lekki on the mainland.”
House types include twin duplex, terrace prototype and duplex prototype.
Asked about connection of former President Olusegun Obansajo with the housing project, the CEO explained that the estate’s land was situated within Obasanjo Holding, which the former carved out of his commercial farm.
“But for the sense of giving back to the society, the former president allocated portion of it to be converted to commercial residential estate, hence Convvy Estate,” he said.
To promote quality building production in the estate, he said he had put together a team of specialists, comprising registered engineers, architects, builders, facility managers for the purpose of quality control.
“Even if you buy land and you want to build by yourself, we will need to vet your drawings and ensure that your proposed building complies with the estate’s laid down rules,” Oni added
Chatta, the Nollywood actor and film maker, said he would use everything at his disposal – over one million facebook followers, other social media platforms – to promote the estate.
Estate features and facilities include consent and clean title, instant allocation, central water system, drainage, streetlights, perimeter fencing, green areas, good road network and recreational facilities, among others.
