THE Fasasi Sirajudeen Abiodun-led Caretaker Committee of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Oyo State, said the constitution of the committee was legal and based on a judgment delivered by the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Owerri, Imo State, presided over by Justice I.S. Galadima, which nullified two-year tenure elongation at the special delegates’ conference held in Akure, the Ondo State capital, in 2016.
He said this during a chat with Saturday Tribune, on Thursday.

Abiodun said being the only special national delegates’ conference conducted throughout the country, the decision taken at the conference was implemented across the nation at the national, state as well as the local branches of NULGE.
He added that it was incumbent on the leadership of NULGE to vacate office based on the judgment and respect for the rule of law.
