SCORES of beneficiaries of the N50 million empowerment programme of the member representing Atisbo/Saki-West/Saki-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Olajide Olatubosun, at the weekend, extolled the lawmaker for fulfilling his promises.
The beneficiaries, who spoke with the Nigerian Tribune during the empowerment programme at the OYSADEP Sports Complex, Saki, Oyo state, commended the lawmaker for identifying with them as promised during the election.
The lawmaker’s programme include drilling of nine boreholes in various locations in the three local government areas of the constituency, women empowerment, distribution of grinding machines, motor cycles, power generating sets, sewing machines, spraying pumps, bursary to students and special scheme for empowerment.
Muritala Animasaun, Ayandokun John, Oladoja Rasheed and Muritala Shittu who benefited from motorcycle and power generating sets, eulogised the Ago-Amodu lawmaker for extending the empowerment scheme to them.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Alhaji Muritala Ayandokun said: “Honourable Olajide Olatubosun has fulfilled his promises. He promised to ensure that without sweat, what he promised during the electioneering gets to us, and today, he has fulfilled his promises. We pray that our God will continue to guide him.”
In his address on the occasion, Honourable Olatubosun, who thanked the people for reposing their faith in him by giving him the opportunity represent them in the House, however, said that “a lot still needs to be done.”
