AS a Yorubaman, I salute, celebrate and congratulate Chief Gani Adams on his appointment by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, as the 15th  Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubalabd.

Adams is the right choice for the award. He is a culture icon, a charismatic leader, and the man whom the cap fits.

My advice to him is to refrain from partisan politics. Also, unlike the 19th century, now we can only wage war against ethnocentrism, religious and socioeconomic problems.
