Mavin Records music star, Korede Bello appears to be feeling the pressure from his fans, who seem to want more from their man. As some fans continue to make their discomfort known over his long absence from the music scene, others are pleading for time for the God Win crooner.
It is no more news that the momentum that made Bello fans’ favourites in the last few years may have gone down, and there are concerns from fans that he is no more living to expectations again. In fact, the singer’s influence appears to be waning by the day as people wondered what could have kept him out of the game for so long.
Though the singer, who was signed same day to Mavin Records alongside Di’ja and Reekado Banks has reportedly endured a difficult time but has kept his head down and concentrated on his work rather than allow fans’ criticisms to draw him out of his shell.
When Reekado Banks announced his exit from Mavin, a label founded by ace music producer, Don Jazzy, many people had thought his departure would birth a fresh start for Bello, whose career appeared to have experienced a lull in the last few years.
While it is a known fact that the label might have tried to cash in on Reekado Banks’ quick rise and commercial appeal in the last three years before he called it quits, same cannot be said about Korede Bello, who, though managed to drop a few songs and videos, did not have enough commercial songs that could help to push his brand further.
R gathered that the singer may not be happy with certain developments in the label and the dimension his career is taking, but it is believed that the One and Only singer is trying to see out his contract with the label.
A source privy to happenings in the label said Korede Bello does not have any problem and has proved that he has what it takes to succeed as a musician, whether with Mavin or any other label. “Korede has been working. He’s aware of what is being said out there and has managed to keep his distance from the noise and respond with good music,” the source assured.
In what appeared to be a tweet that was meant to calm frayed nerves, Bello appealed to his concerned fans on Twitter days back, asking them to be patient with him while he returns with new songs and good news.
A fan asked how long he would starve his fans longing to feel his vibe again. Bello replied saying: “I got you. Please be patient with me.”
Korede said he’s back in the studio and could not wait to share good music with his people. In another tweet he urged that people should not prey on others’ problems unless they have a solution.
