Wondrous World of Women

Communication is a very important aspect of every successful relationship

You combine writing, counselling and speaking skills together, what is actually your passion?
Yes, I am a writer, counsellor and speaker, who has also gained over 17 years work experience across several customer service and human resource roles. However, my passion is helping people; particularly women to discover how to live purposeful and successful lives. I have been blessed with opportunities to speak at women retreats, youth conferences and marriage seminars. I love sharing practical Biblical principles because I believe all we need to have a successful marriage and even life can be found in the Bible. I recently published a book on marriage.

Nigeria’s 2019 general election: Listening to Prophet TB Joshua

As an author, what inspires you to write?

I get my inspiration from the Bible and from the world around me. I could be reading a Bible verse and get some insights from it or I might observe something around me and write it down. I’m constantly learning.  I believe that there is always more to learn and as I keep learning from the Bible, nature, people, events and so on, I keep getting inspired.

What motivated you to write a book on marriage?

I believe the society will be better if marriages work – we would have happier and more productive people and avoid all the negativity that divorce brings to families and the society at large.

I wrote this book to help provide a resource for would-be wives and wives. This book; The Marriage Recipe, provides the reader with practical Biblical tips that when applied will help women improve in their marriages.

Can you share with us tips on how to have a successful marriage?

Answer:  In my book I share the five ingredients that are essential to a successful marriage – God; Love; Honour; Lovemaking; and Commitment. You cannot have a good marriage without these ingredients.

What are the things you think people should consider when choosing their life partners?

There are several things to consider when choosing a life partner, the most important factor I think is compatibility. By that I mean, you should be able to answer the following questions in the affirmative; Do you share the same beliefs and priorities – about God, marriage, family, finances and so on? Do you have life visions and interests that can coexist? For instance, if one partner’s vision is to become a missionary to an unreached people’s group, the other should either share that vision or not have one that is opposed to it. Do you have chemistry; are you sexually attracted to each other? Are you able to communicate with one another? Communication is a very important aspect of every successful relationship. You shouldn’t marry someone you either can never understand or who never understands you.
