He emphasised the need for all agencies of government to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of the federal character principle both in recruitment and posting of officials.

In his remarks, the Katsina State coordinator of JAMB, Mr Mohammad Isyaku, thanked the commission for the initiative, noting that the interactive session would go a long way in educating participants as well as addressing the grey areas that relate to the commission’s activities.

Meanwhile, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) coordinator, Mr Abdullahi Kusa,  informed the participants of the partnership between his organisation and JAMB.

He stated that NIMC registration culminating in the issuance of a National Identification Number (NIN) is very important for the security of the country.

He further disclosed that the NIMC was working round the clock to ensure that in no distant time, all Nigerians would be captured in its database, adding that for registration, all applicants must present their certificates of birth as part of  requirements for registration.

Other agencies in attendance include, the Nigerian Customs Service, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, Legal Aid Council of Nigeria among others.
