Commercial bus driver knocks down FRSC officer in Osun

A dramatic and alarming incident unfolded on Friday on the Osogbo/Gbongan Road in Osun State when a commercial bus driver struck an officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, during his duty.

The collision occurred near the state Secretariat area of Osogbo and left the FRSC officer unconscious and was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital by his colleagues.

Eyewitnesses reported that the bus driver, after hitting the officer, fled the scene without concern for the officer’s condition.

Speaking on the development, the state FRSC Sector Commander, Inyang Umoh, confirmed the incident.

The sector command however hinted that, the victim of the incident condition had improved while efforts are in high rate to apprehend the driver.
