Commercial activities in Lafia metropolis were in shambles, as the chairman Nasarawa state traditional councils, Emir of Lafia, Dr.Isa Mustapher-Agwai, 1 was buried in his Palace.
The funeral ceremony which was done amidst tears by family members, friends, and associate, just as the market women, traders and other commercial activities were grounded.
It could be recalled that the late Emir died on Thursday, January 10, 2019, in a Turkish Hospital in Abuja after a protracted illness.
Prominent personalities that attended the rite included; Minister of water resources, Suleiman Adamu l, who represent the president Muhammadu Buhari, IMO state Governor, Rochas Okorocha, Plateau state Governor, Simon Lalong, and the host of Governor Umaru Al-Makura who warmly received them.

Others include TY Danjuma, Labaran Maku, CAN Chairman, Catholic Bishop of Lafia, Gbong Gwom Jos, Sultan of Sokoto, Emir of Zuru, Emir of Fika from Yobe state, traditional rulers from the state among others.
Mustapher-Agwai was buried at the palace cemetery in Lafia where previous Emirs were also buried.
Mustapha-Agwai ascended the throne in May 1974 and was survived by three wives and two children. Until his death, he was the 16th Emir of Lafia and celebrated his 44th anniversary on the throne last year.
He was a former Chancellor of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) and the Chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State among other appointments, until his demise.
Dalhatu Dahiru, Chief Imam of Lafia Central Mosque presided over the burial ceremony.
